  • Mileage: 7.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 625 ft
  • Pace: 1.5-2 mph

McCollum Park & Ride-  Time TBD

Located in the North Cascades, this is an unusual hike through a very mossy forest and along a narrow river canyon, past sites that were important in local history. There are a few different scenes; glowing moss, shady trees, waterfalls, and down to the river.  The trail is in great condition, but there are a few places we'll have to step over trees (about 18" max) or walk under them (just bending, no need to remove backpacks). We'll maintain a moderate 1.5-2 mph pace for this early season hike.
