Leader's notes

We will meet at the Lower Lena Trailhead and plan to reach the lake within 3 hours at which time we will have lunch. We will take breaks approximately every hour for water and a snack, if needed. It is expected the group will stay together during the hike and take breaks and lunch together. Trekking poles are highly recommended, especially on the return hike down. The trail is well used and there are rocky sections, and sections with exposed roots. Trekking poles will help with keeping your balance.
