Day Hike - Koppen Mountain

This is a scenic hike to a former lookout site . The views are outstanding from the the summit .

We will meet at the trail head at 9:00 am . From Seattle drive East on I-90 to exit 85. Cross over  the freeway overpass and turn right on State Rt. 970 . Cross the Teanaway River bridge , and in another mile turn left onto Teanaway Rd. Drive North on Teanaway Rd ,veering right as it becomes first North Fork Teanaway Road and then unpaved Forest Rd 9737 at 29 Pines Campground. Drive 4 miles to Beverly Campground and then continue on to Forest Rd 9737-120 .Turn left and follow it to the abandoned De Roux Campground and the trail head. There will    be two carpool sites . I will arrive at Green Lake Park and Ride at 6:00 am and depart to Preston Park and Ride at 6:15 am . The hikers carpooling at Preston Park and Ride need to arrive at 6:45 am with departure to the trail head at 7:00 am . I drive a white Escape and will be taking hikers  to the trail head .
