Meet 9:30am at the Iron Creek trailhead off of hwy 97 on Forest Road 9714. There will be a three mile long dirt road with very few potholes. You can ford Iron Creek about 200 yards before the trailhead or park at one of the turnouts just before the ford. It is a small creek and easy to cross with a high clearance vehicle.
There is no entry fee or restroom at the trailhead. Plan to stop for a restroom break before arrival (e.g. Safeway store in CleElum).
This is a very enjoyable spring trip if you like to stop to learn about plants/wildflowers and enjoy birds. Bring poles, a loupe, binoculars and wildflower and/or bird apps on your phone or a book if you'd like. Bring your lunch, water and rain gear in case of showers.
An email will be sent out to participants a few days before the trip with updates or further instructions.
