We will meet at the Hamilton Mountain Trailhead at 8:45 and start hiking at 9:00. This is in Beacon Rock State Park, so a Discover Pass is required.
This hike will not be lead at at brisk pace.
I have a group campsite reserved at the Wyeth Campground for Friday and Saturday nights, for those able to make this hike more than a day trip (see the Coyote Wall hike on Saturday). The campground is off of Interstate 8 at Exit 51 in the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area. The cost of the campsite (per night: $34 plus $5 per vehicle) will be shared by those who choose to camp there for either one or two nights. All campgrounds in this area have some highway and train noise, so bring your earplugs for sleeping!
