Day Hike - Deception Falls

We will meet at the Deception Falls recreation area at 8am.  Carpooling option from the Monroe Park and Ride at 7am (details in the hello hiker email to be sent out before the trip)

Driving Directions from WTA to Deception Falls: Drive US Highway 2 to milepost 56 east of Skykomish. The entrance is on the north side of the highway. There are vault toilets and picnic tables, plus room for about 20 cars.

This is a photography oriented day hike where we will be taking multiple and prolonged stops to photograph at the falls and along the interpretive trail.  This is an excellent opportunity for you to practice extended exposure on rushing water.  Leaders will be able to help with simple advice for photography techniques but not your specific camera. This is not a class, leaders will be photographing as well.  I expect we will spend 2-3 hours along this half mile trail

Please note: this hike will be led at a casual pace with frequent stops.  You may need an extra layer to stay warm, depending on the weather.  Hike will be rescheduled in the case of heavy rain or weather that would interfere with getting photos
