Day Hike - Colchuck Lake

Let's try to avoid the crowds and hike early in the week to beautiful Colchuck Lake!

  • Moderate
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 9.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 2,600 ft
  • Pace: Moderate, 1.75 mph ascent, 2 mph descent

Meet at the Stuart and Colchuck Lake trailhead, ready to hike at 9:30 a.m.  A NW Forest Pass is required at the trailhead.

Parts of this hike are steep and rough, so please be in condition, having done recent hikes of similar gain and distance.  As the trail may have running water/mud, poles and good waterproof boots are required, in addition to the 10 Essentials.

An email will be sent to participants two days prior to the hike with more details.

Also if interested, some of us will be camping at the Lake Wenatchee State Park Campground Tuesday evening, and then participate in the Bridal Veil Falls and Lake Serene hike, scheduled for Wednesday, 6/12.
