Day Hike - Big Creek Loop

Enjoy a hike on the Olympic peninsula through the forest along Big Creek. The trip will include a side trip with an extra climb to a lunch spot overlooking Lake Cushman. This hike is part of the Tacoma Dosewallips car camp - preference will be given to people camping.

Meet at 9:00 AM at the Big Creek Campground & Trailhead.  There is a restroom at the trailhead.  A Northwest Forest Pass or America the Beautiful pass is required to park.

From Olympia, follow US-101 north, turn west onto SR-119 at Hoodsport, drive 9 miles to junction with Forest Road 24, turn left, continue about 100 yards and Big Creek Campground & Trailhead will be on your right.
