We will meet at the Brickyard park and ride off the 405 interstate, 15530 Juanita-Woodinville Way NE, Bothell, at 6:00am.
Please note that the trailhead, which is east of Stevens Pass (Leavenworth side), has very limited parking. 3 cars maximum most likely can park there. We are getting an extra early start to ensure that we can successfully access this popular location.
Trailhead directions:
Take Highway 2 to the Smithbrook Road turnoff and parking area, 4.2 miles east of Stevens Pass. Generally this is just a small parking area carved out by snowplows. If coming from the east, drive Stevens Pass Nordic Center and use the U-turn access for Highway 2 westbound to the parking area.
As this is a beginner-oriented trip please bring your snowshoeing questions! You will need to bring your own snowshoes or rent a pair. REI stores usually rent them or ask trip leader for suggestions.
