Basic Snowshoe - Surveyors Lake

Tibbets Park and Ride 8:00, or Silver Fir Lodge 8:45

Come explore portions of the Nordic Pass Trail along with routes to three area lakes: Hyak, Rockdale and Surveyors.  We may throw in Divide Lake as well if time allows.  Much of the way will be on the blue diamond marked route, which we may need to locate.  Short portions will be on the cross country ski trail, where we will need to walk single file and way off to one side, evidencing good winter trail etiquette.  To link these, we will seek to use good navigation skills as a team to navigate cross country, around hazards such as tree wells and creeks.  Use of a map and/or Gaia will be helpful if not crucial.  A CalTopo route map will be sent to registered participants beforehand.
