We'll leave the Eastside as close to 11:00 am as possible on Friday, then stop in Ashford for lunch, arrive at Longmire around 2:00 pm to pick up a permit, then head up to Paradise. We'll look for a spot to base camp at Dead Horse Creek basin, north of the overnight parking area (lower lot). Trip is only listed for one night but I'll be staying until Monday, and anyone is welcome to join over the weekend to take part in multiple snowshoe trips (see activity listings).

All vehicles, including 4WD and AWD vehicles, must carry tire chains in the park during the winter season (November 1 - May 1) and be prepared to use them when tire chain requirements are posted.
