Please don't email leader prior to registration. Climbers must be in excellent physical condition, fully vaccinated, have extensively researched the route/conditions and are willing to participate in pre-trip planning and open discussions/assessments during the trip to make the climb safe and fun for all. Must be willing to change objectives pending weather/conditions. This MUSTN'T be your first glacier climb...you have to have had prior glacier experience, within or outside of the Mountaineers. This is a 2.5 day climb, heading to Camp Curtis day 1, summit day 2, then camping night of day 2 and heading back to cars early day 3.. Be prepared to car-camp the night prior to the climb for an alpine start to maximize rest at camp for summit day. Climb requires payment for group permit (leader will obtain and split cost between participants) as well as a climbing and recovery permit (individual must obtain, everyone must pay indivudually, for any climb on rainier +10k ft).
