Backpack - Cathedral Rock-Deception Pass-Tuck & Robin Lakes

A three-day two night loop trip counter-clockwise to view some Alpine lakes and with some great views.

We will meet at the South Hill Park N Ride, Hwy 512 and 94th Ave. E, at 7:30 AM to car pool to the trailhead at Tacquala Meadows north of Salmon la Sac. Northwest parking permit required for drivers.

We will be going 'counter-clockwise' going north from the trailhead on the Deception Pass trail (# 1376) to Tuck's Lake for our first night. Next day, south on the PCT (trail 2000) to Peggy's Pond for our second night. Last day we will go by trail # 1345 to return to our starting location. Then drive back home.

The Ten Essentials plus overnight gear which may include:

  • Tent with footprint/ground tarp
  • Stove and fuel
  • Sleeping bag
  • Sleeping pad
  • Water filter
  • Bear canister or extra stuff sack and cord designated for hanging food
  • Cooking pot/pan with plate and utensils
  • Toilet paper and shovel or blue bag to deal with waste
