Backcountry Trail Run - Ape Canyon

Join me for a scenic run at a relaxed pace in the dramatic setting of Mt. St. Helens/Loowit!

  • Ape Canyon trailhead, time TBD by group since it's a longer drive from the Seattle area.
  • Northwest Forest Pass or equivalent required
  • Directions from the WTA.org trip descriptionFrom Woodland, take Lewis River Road (SR 503) east for 32 miles. Continue east on FR 90 for 3.2 miles, then veer left on FR 83 and proceed 11.2 miles to the trailhead.

We will extend this a little longer than the Mountaineers route to reach the Plains of Abraham, if possible.

Bad weather, wildfire smoke or other contingencies may cancel this trip.
