  • Guard station information page. Up to 24 inches of snow in a 24-hour period is not uncommon in this area. It is possible upon return to your vehicle that you will find it buried in snow or blocked by piles of snow from snowplows. Please be prepared to dig it out with a shovel. Make sure your vehicle is prepared for winter driving conditions including deep snow, which means winter (not all-season) tires, or at a minimum, tire chains that you know how to put on the car BEFORE you need them. AWD/4WD does not matter in snow, tires do.
