Backcountry Ski/Snowboard - Bullion Basin

Tour to chase some early Spring storm-deposited goods.

  • Moderate, M2 Advanced Ski
  • Moderate
  • Mileage: 8.0 mi
  • Elevation Gain: 4,500 ft
  • High Point Elevation: 6,800 ft

8:15AM at the Bullion Basin TH, behind the former location of the Chapel at the Crystal Mountain base area, ready to skin.

This tour is a fall-back from a Mount St Helens ski mo climb that was canceled due to a forecast of intense weather in the alpine leading up to the trip.  The roster will be filled first from participants and the waitlist for that activity.

We will skin up the usual trail to Bullion Basin and then choose between skinning the ridge up to Bullion/Bluebell Peak or a more direct track up to Platinum Peak.

Trip destination and go/no-go may change when then NWAC forecast is out on Friday evening.
