A beautiful (albeit very strenuous) ascent of Steamboat Prow. Only for COVID vaccinated folks, this one day counter-clockwise traverse of Steamboat Prow ascends the western ridge and descends the eastern ridge.  In addition to being a scramble graduate (this route is somewhat exploratory), attendees should have a history of recent trips of a strenuous nature.

From Glacier Basin we will ascend to a narrowing of rock features at the toe of the Inter Glacier, then turn right to use an ascending traverse that gains the western ridge of Steamboat Prow at ~8200’.  From there our counter-clockwise traverse will mostly follow the ridge crests.  We will hopefully tag Mount Ruth as we descend the eastern ridge on our way home.
