Otherwise, meet at the Crystal Mountain Ski Resort at 8:00 a.m.
This is primarily a trip for Seattle Scrambling students who have successfully done the snow field trip. Please wait till the 2nd day of sign-up (Tuesday April 24) to register for this trip. Sign-up on Monday April 23 is for students only.
We probably won't need snowshoes because much of the terrain will have been groomed for skiing (but please bring them as we will decide whether we need then when we get there). It’s a good idea to bring micro-spikes as well. Please see list for other required equipment. Crystal is scheduled to close for the season on 4/22. It's unlikely but possible that they will extend the season if they get enough additional snow; in that case, I'll come up with an alternative destination.
We will practice many of the skills learned at the snow and navigation field trips.
PRO TIP: Save your front line hiking and climbing pants. Bring an old pair of rain pants for glissading.
