Alpine Scramble - Coleman Pinnacle

This easy to moderate 10-mile trip takes you up 2,000 feet to top of Coleman Pinnacle. You are rewarded with beautiful views of Mount Baker and the surrounding alpine terrain.

 7:00 am at the Horseshoe Bend trail head, at the east end of the town of Glacier, on the right immediately after SR 542 crosses the Nooksack River. This parking lot is across the street from the entrance to the Douglas Fir campground, where I will be staying in site #13 and #14.

 

We may decide to extend this trip and also tag Kaiser Peak, the tallest point on Lasiocarpa Ridge (7500). 

Participants are invited to camp the night prior to this scramble and/or the night after at my reserved campsites at the Douglas Fir campground. They are also invited to sign up for my Goat Mt scramble the day before and/or my Yellow Aster Butte scramble  the next day.
