Elizabeth Petras, Natural Resources Specialist from NOAA's National Marine Fisheries Service, will share some of the latest information on Puget Sound's endangered orcas.  For years NMFS, in collaboration with researchers in the Pacific Northwest and from around the world, have been working to better understand our orcas. Elizabeth will present some of the latest information on where the whales go once they leave the Salish Sea, what food resources they depend on, and what's being done to assess individual health. The orcas depend on salmon and Elizabeth will share ways that we can all help the recovery of this iconic species.
