Day Hike - McLane Creek Nature Trail
Families with Children- Come join us at McLane Creek Nature Trail in Capitol Forest for a Mushroom Hunt and ID adventure. Our special guest Linda will be presenting a “Kid Friendly” lesson on mushrooms. Children will have the opportunity to forage for mushrooms followed by a group ID experience.

Meet at 1100AM at McLane Creek Nature Trail at the first parking lot as you enter. Discover Pass required. Please review blue tab below “Required Equipment.”
Additional information will be emailed to registrants near the day of the event.
Required Equipment
Rain gear / outerwear, warm layers, umbrella. Comfortable water resistant/ waterproof shoes. Gloves. Water, snacks.
Bring an extra pair of clothes/ socks / shoes to leave in the car.
Bring a small bucket, about a gallon size, for collecting mushrooms (mushrooms get smashed and broken in a plastic bag).
