Take an important step towards becoming a Mountaineers certified Youth and Family Hike or Backpack Leader at this seminar. The seminar will cover the most important expectations of leaders starting from the planning, posting, and communication stages before the trip; the day-of logistics and on-trail leadership; to the end-of-trip debrief and post-trip closeout.
Groups will also discuss the most important differences in approach between the various age groups of The Mountaineers youth programs, from 6 year old's and families up to teens. Come prepared with note taking materials and any questions you have about the process!
