Required Equipment

Required Equipment

  • XC skis - classic, no-wax skis recommended
  • XC poles
  • XC boots
  • Warm clothes
  • Lunch/snacks
  • Water
  • 10 Essentials
  • Note 1: Chaperones, please consider carrying most of your little skiers supplies. A hip pack with water and small snack is ideal for xc skiing. Heavy, bulky packs, even daypacks restrict shoulder motion and make efficient pole use challenging.
  • Note 2:  XC skiing can be highly aerobic. In general you can dress more lightly than you would for hiking in similar temperatures.
