SEA Youth Clubs Parents | Climbing Trip - Vantage/The Feathers

This is a parent-only day of cragging for youth club parents. This trip has prerequisites. See leaders notes for details.

  • Crag Rock Climb
  • Casual

Meet with gear at 8am in the parking area on the south side of the Feathers. We'll quickly huddle and then head up the short trail to begin our day climbing of the south face.

We'll have an adults-only climbing trip at Vantage for the day. This is a great chance to practice skills from the parents skill series, or just to have a chance to climb with other grown-up people.

Prerequisites:

Attendance at all Parent Skill Series climbing workshops up to and including Anchors/Cleaning Routes and competence with lead belaying, lead climbing on bolts, anchors, and cleaning routes. Lead belaying badge (there is no "lead climbing" badge) + clean & lower badge. The lead belaying badge signifies competence with the complete skill of lead climbing on bolts. The clean & lower badge signifies competence setting up top rope anchors  on routes with bolted fixed hardware and the ability to clean and lower from a route when finished climbing.
