We had a beautiful hike to Yellow Aster Butte. The wildflowers, and blueberries were in full bloom. The hike is steep and strenuous in the beginning, but flattens out to an open, craggy area robust with wild life, and more flowers! We made a quick jaunt up to the butte, and then continued on to Tomyhoi peak. Tomyhoi is an intimidating site, but the scrambling is easy, and the views well worth the trip with both Mt. Baker, and Mt. Shuksan staring down at you.

Still after all of these years, this hike/scramble continues to be one of my favorites. A must do in the Fall.
