Woodard Bay

What a great day -- and all before the big winds hit. We were able to see the heron nests high in the alders on the Overlook Trail. Then, on to the Woodard Bay Trail out to the point -- to run, play, have lunch and see the 60-100 herons out on the pier. We took the loop trail on our way back, a bit concerned that the winds might arrive, but it was calm until we came off the trail and were BLASTED. Good thing the parking lot was close and we could leave the area. A very successful trip!
