Few inches of old snow on Wonderland Trail from Longmire, gradually deepening to the junction with Rampart Ridge trail toward Mildred Point. Used microspikes part way along. Needed snowshoes shortly beyond the junction. Light snowfall all day, several more inches added by end of trip. Used GPS to navigate along established trail - be sure to follow the trail, do not attempt to go straight up the ridge beginning at 4800'.
No other parties on the route, beautiful soft snow great for snowshoeing. However, we turned back around 5000' due to snow instability on steep slope.
