Winter Scramble - Koppen Mountain

The weather was better than expected but we were not able to make it to the DeRoux TH because of deep snow on the road about 3  miles up the road from the Johnson-Medra TH so we opted for Johnson.  We were able to follow the snow covered impression of the trail most of way to the saddle then picked our way to the summit, avoiding snow drifts and fallen trees.  Once on top we took some quick summit pics then dropped down a bit to get out of the biting wind.  We wound up getting a little more than 9 miles and 2200' of gain.
