White Chuck Mountain/Northwest Route

Climbed August 22, 2015. No snow anywhere on the route. Amazing this is classified as a Basic Alpine climb--perhaps with snow there's some justification for that but in these conditions it is a hike with two very short T3 scramble sections. Those were much less exposed than I expected. I would not want to climb them when wet and I can see why some people might want a rope, but no one in our party needed one.

We basically followed Karl Themer's directions which are excellent. No distant views due to smoke from numerous fires but the local scenery was lovely with meadows, wildflowers, and early fall color. A worthwhile trip, and easily beats Unicorn as the easiest Basic climb I've been on. 2:03 up, 25 minutes on top, 1:26 down for 3:54 total.
