Tacoma Basic FT 8 - Alpine Rock III - Mount Erie

Met at the summit at 8:30am and hiked down to the top of Friction Slab (part of the Skyline Arete Group on Mt Project).  I would say this is  a perfect location for  this field trip.  Students began by rappelling to the base of the wall and then divided the rest of the day between belay-escape,  multipitch trad follower practice, and climbing practice on top-rope.  We had three instructors and only four students and the weather was perfect  so we took our time and didn't hurry, but were still all finished up back at the parking lot by  about  2:15pm.
