Stewardship - Big Creek

20 Mountaineers, mostly from Olympia, cleaned up and cleared debris from Big Creek Campground, a 65-site USFS campground near Lake Cushman.

  • There were fewer trees down and large cutting jobs than last year in this campground. 

Despite the all-day rain, we cleared winter tree debris; re-set some metal firepits that had come up out of the ground; hauled away trash; cut down and bucked up some logs that were in the way of roadways, tables, and tent sites; and generally tidied up the place, ready for the campground's opening in May.
