Sloan Peak/Corkscrew Route

This was a great trip. Planned as a one day event. We left the cars at 5:10am and soon came to the first water crossing. We all straddled an arched log to reach the other side. Once across we decided that a log jam further down stream would have been easier.
(used this on the way back)

The rest of the trail was pretty straight forward with a few sections of blow down. Once out of the tree line there is a climbers trail that leads to the ridge just before the glacier.

Ascended pretty much straight up to the top of the glacier and began leftward traverse. A little bit of route finding around some crevasses brought us to the start of the corkscrew route. Dropped glacier gear and headed for the summit.

Made the summit at about 12:45 with sunshine and great views.

The descent was uneventful and we returned to the cars at 6:20pm.
