Sea Kayak - Hammersley Inlet

The paddle went as planned. After paddling to Hope Island for lunch and waited for the tide to change we finished circumnavigating Hope Island before paddling back up Hammersley Inlet. On the way back to Jacoby Shorecrest State Park we explored Mill Creek.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

  • The original plan was to launch from Walker County Park. I called park services last week and they told me the park was closed due to storm damage so I changed the launch location to Jacobys Shorecrest County Park.

After lunch we finished circumnavigating Hope Island before paddling back up Hammersley Inlet. On our way back to the launch site we wound our way up Mills Creek for about a half mile.
