An interesting and scenic paddle with that can be timed to take advantage of currents.

Launched Oak Bay boat ramp at 11am. Wind at back, paddle counter-clockwise around Marrowstone and Indian Islands, returning through the cut. Encountered some wind heading north along Marrowstone. Stayed away from shore to catch current. Messy eddy line crossings could have been a challenge for inexperienced paddlers. Rounded lighthouse after 1pm. Almost no rip (2.5 kt ebb). Paddled to Fort Flagler for lunch. Continued around Indian with assist from wind and current, arriving 4:15pm. Great group. Beautiful day.
