Sea Kayak - Cape Flattery

A few tips:

• Stay away from the boomers on the spit between the Cape and Tatoosh. Very strong currents flow through there even at "slack". It is not a place to play due to rocks and chaotic water.
• In particular, if coming back from Tatoosh - go far South first before cutting back to shore Easterly, to avoid getting sucked into boomer field.
• Better experience is mid to higher tidals to allow more cave and arch exploration.
• Avoid going altogether if winds are 15kt+ and/or strong swells against your return, or plan a shuttle to leverage wind/swell directions.
