North Twin Sister/West Ridge

Parked cars at bridge and started pushing bikes up logging road at 9:00. Hid bikes at fallen log at 11:00, and started hiking at 11:15. Snow melted to above treeline. Followed cairns on right side of west ridge but still slow going. Got to about 400 vertical feet from summit at 3:00 pm. Not knowing at the time the conditions of the snow on the north side, decided to turn around to avoid the risk of down climbing in the dark. After a short break, turned around at 4:00 and scrambled back down the west ridge. Returned to bikes at 8:00 pm. After filtering water at the bridge, returned to cars at 9:00 pm.
