Nice hike, be sure to arrive early
Easy to reach trailhead, not too strenuous of a hike, varied scenery throughout, beautiful lake, nasty biting flies.

Our group arrived at 7:30 with the parking lot only with about 10-15 cars. Once we came back at around 1, the parking lot was very full, so be sure to arrive early. As others mentioned there were lots of nasty biting flies which I experienced at the lake and on the descent. I applied bug spray at the beginning but it didn't help too much, so maybe long sleeve shirt & pants is the way to go. There are a number of spots on the water to hang out and have a meal/snack.
