Mount Persis

We started up from the trailhead at 8:15am. We had fog and light rain most of the day. We reached snowline around 4200'. Going at a more leisurely pace than planned (3/4 mph), we gained the summit an hour behind schedule at 1pm. The sun attempted to burn off the fog but, we never could see anything past 100 feet. No cornices immediately north of the triangulation marker we found, but large cornices between us and Index (not that we could see her) prevented us from venturing southeast to see if we could find a benchmark. We turned around at 1:30pm and were back at the trailhead at 4:20pm, with sun and clear views.
