McClellan Butte

We started our ascent from the upper trailhead with a party of 7 at 10:20am. The trail was moist from light rain the previous night. By the time we reached the rock scramble at the end of the trail the summit block appeared dry and was in good condition. We summited at 12:40pm and took a short break for lunch with patches of blue sky overhead and a thick fog layer below. We used a handline for the descent, leaving the base of the summit block at 1:35pm. Total trip time was 4:40 with no problems or incidents.
