Iron Peak

10/26/2014. We were planning to hike up Defiance outside of North Bend, but the weather was terrible. It rained very hard, so we headed east. We drove until the rain stopped. Instead, we had light snow. Snow fell on us most of the day, which we loved and preferred to rain. The snow did not stick to the ground for the bottom half of the trail. Snow started to stick to the ground about half way up. On the ridge, the snow was perhaps 1-2 inches deep. Driving home, the rain was like a monsoon and power was out over most of Issaquah.
