Intermediate Snowshoe - Olallie/Radio Mountain

Surprisingly good snow and exceptional views made for a most enjoyable moderate snowshoe.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles

  • The road system one encounters after ascending from Hyak Lake is a bit complicated and not accurately represented on any map I’ve seen. Briefly, one follows the groomed roads # 4 Powersurge, #14a Innerloops and #14g Roundabout, and then an unmarked spur road coming in from the right just after crossing under powerlines which points towards Olallie Mountain

The radio facility offers broad open views to the north and west, while the summit proper is fully treed.
