Intermediate Alpine Climb - Liberty Bell & Concord Tower

Nice day out on the Beckey Route. Did not do the combination with Concord Tower due to time and condition issues.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • Approach and route are in prime condition.  No more blowdown on the trail, no snow on the approach.

Saturday we had thunderstorms from 4am - 5am so we went back to sleep.  I woke up at 6:30am and it was blue sky!  So we went for it.   Decent conditions all day.  We only encountered 2 other climbers all day, and they were behind us.  The gulley was melted out, the route was in the sun from the bottom of the 2nd pitch, and there are nice rap stations now (which I don't remember).  So its really easy to do two single rope rappels.
10 hours car-to-car, which is expected with 6 people and new lead climbers.
