Grand Valley

Our route was originally planned to be as described in the Mountaineers Book. However, we went clockwise along the ridge before dropping down into the valley. We saw more flowers on this ridge than the one on the return. The steep scree trail on the way back was not as difficult as described and since Grand Lake was behind us on the ascent we had to stop to enjoy the view. Going down the trail would have allowed for views that were much easier to take in.
