We did Buell and Barrier starting from the Deer Creek trailhead on Highway 123. We followed the trail to the top of the switchbacks at ~4700', then proceeded up the very steep hillside towards the saddle between Buell & Barrier. Reached Buell summit in the snow at 10:30am. Followed ridge over to Barrier, reached summit at 11:45. Weather was threatening (forecast said 50% chance of rain/tstorms), so we decided to skip Governor's and head back to the cars. We descended a different way back to the trail, by staying in the open areas for the most part. Back to the cars just before 3pm.
