Fourth of July Creek

4-30-2016
Miles: 14
Elevation gain: 5500'
Elevation loss: 6400'
Total time: 10 hours.

This trip was a traverse starting from Fourth of July and ending at Icicle Creek trailhead. Lots of blowdown on trail at around 5200'. Once continuous snow started, we left the trail and headed straight up towards the former lookout. From there we traversed the rest of the ridge back to the Icicle Creek trailhead. We made one side detour to Ice Bridge Bump (6696'), which also had excellent views. Lots of soft snow on the traverse, and we found plenty of holes. We regained the trail on the way down at about 4800'.
