Trip Report

Day Hike - Tiger Mountain Lowlands

Nice forest hike away from the crowds.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • Trails are in good shape.

We started from the E. Sunset trailhead in Issaquah. There was plenty of parking. The trails are marked with trail signs new and old.  Not all signs matched my paper map. Some hikers had GAIA and this proved most useful. There are a lot of trail crossings.

We found a good route through shady woods on a hot evening. We passed both Round and Tradition Lakes and had dinner by the Talus Caves. Our original destination was Rattlesnake Ledge. After reading trip reports we decided to seek a less crowded path and we found it.
