Day Hike - Sulphur Mountain

Hike off the Suiattle river road.

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • Suiattle is in good shape. A bit of washboard in places but drivable by any vehicle.

We had last minute cancelations but decided to do the hike anyway with just the two of us.

The conditions were cloudy with showers on the drive in.  The trail is .1 miles from the trailhead on the Suiattle. You need to be watching VERY carefully as the trail itself looks more like an animal path and rises very steeply from the main trail.  After about 10' it takes on the look of a regular trail however.

The trail was overall in good shape the entire route. There were some blow down we had to navigate but for a seldom used trail it was very good.  Unfortunately we were fogged in at the summit and had zero views the entire day.  We did not meet a single person Car to car.

Bugs were moderate at the trailhead and not an issue at all after that.
