Day Hike - Rachel & Rampart Lakes
We made it to the top of the ridge above Rachel Lake before the rain started, and the group decided to turn back then. It was a good call since we were all pretty wet even with GorTex, by the time we got back to the trailhead.

About 3 miles up from the trailhead there was a marker in the middle of the trail warning about wasps. It turns out they are yellowjackets right off of the trail. So it's best to bushwhack a little up hill to stay a good 50 feet parallel to the trail to avoid them. One of our group was stung four times on the way up and we avoided that section of the trail on the way down.
