Boardwalk or gravel.
Nisqually Delta Wildlife Refuge is on I-5 exit #114.
Sunny and quite cold. Ice on the ponds. Saw many species of birds. Also discussed plants, mosses, and lichens. Knowledgeable leader. The one-mile boardwalk reaching out over the tideflats is quite amazing and well worth the extra time.
