Day Hike - Mount Walker

Good conditioner hike!

  • Road suitable for all vehicles
  • Trail was dry and generally good condition. The last half mile to the top had slippery ice covering some switchbacks. Trekking poles and/or microspikes are recommended if these conditions persist.

The hike to the top is a good conditioner, with about 1000 ft elevation gain per mile. Clear and dry today with good views to the north, with some snow and ice on the trail for the top half mile.

Trail is sparsely traveled mid-week, but very easy to follow up and back.
